Another idea is to take continuing education. You just might stumble onto a brand new interest that takes you in a new direction while your current skill-set may be put to good use. To sum this up, those of us willing to take some risk by making a change have the explorer mentality to travel the unknown road ahead.   In some cases, it may be an uphill struggle.
